Students Take Center Stage in the Musical Pippin Saturday Night

first_imgThe Ocean City Theatre Company’s Junior Company will present, “PIPPIN” on July 29th at the Ocean City Music Pier. Show time is 7:30 PM.  This fully staged production will feature a cast of select High School students from across the Delaware Valley and is under the Direction of Billy D. Hart and Erin Whitcomb.With an infectiously unforgettable score from the four-time Grammy winner, three time Oscar winner and musical theatre giant.  Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Children of Eden), Pippin has been successfully produced on stages ranging from High School to Broadway.  Sweeping the New York Awards circuit (Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critics Circle) in 2013, Pippin continues to captivate and appeal to the young at heart throughout the world.Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment.  He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father, King Charlemagne the Great).
