first_img ‘Chonky’ 26-Pound Cat Goes Viral Online, Receives Potential AdoptersCat Gets Stuck in Washing Machine for 35-Minute Cycle Stay on target A mischievous cat may have been calling for her own “rescue.” Firefighters in Idaho responded to a fire alarm at an animal shelter on Friday, only to discover that a stray cat taken in by the shelter earlier that day had triggered the call.“[The day] started off as a normal day at our shelter when suddenly the fire alarm sounded around 12:30pm,” the Idaho Humane Society in Boise posted on Facebook. “We hadn’t scheduled a drill, so we were all scratching our heads wondering what was happening?”center_img The shelter said firefighters arrived on the scene and assessed the facility.
