The first set was full of tasty treats, as “Soul Planet” followed, marking its second performance since its debut at Las Vegas’ “soul-sandwich” of a tour opener this past Friday. Next up was “Money Love & Change” followed by a rowdy “Bounce” that seamlessly segued into “Alive Again.” From there, “Dark and Down”, Land of Nod”, and a blazing rendition of “Gotta Jibboo” got the special treatment, before Jennifer “JHa” Hartswick stepped front and center and belted out a mesmerizing cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Dazed and Confused” that would’ve left Robert Plant jaw-dropped.Set One[Video: Steven J. An elegantly placed “Liquid Time” into “Burlap Sack and Pumps” came next. After this combination, Anastasio and company delivered a powerful take on the newly beloved “Everything’s Right”, a song that so strongly reflects the current state of our nation. “Valentine” and “Alaska” came next, ahead of a cover of Gorillaz’s “Clint Eastwood,” again showcasing Hartswick’s mind-blowing pipes in their purest form. “Mr. Completely” brought the second set to a close, before delivering a very appropriate encore of “Drifting” and “Tuesday”, which brought the Tuesday Halloween soul shakedown to an end.Set Two [Video: Steven J. Said fan posted the contemplative Trey photo online, and within minutes, the photo went viral. From Phantasy Tour to Phish Facebook groups, fans had a blast photoshopping Trey and his bag of oranges in hilarious locations: on the moon, under Michael Jordan as he infamously dunked a basketball from the foul line, and, of course, at Madison Square Garden’s section 119 spicy chicken stand, to list a few.Looking Back At Phish’s Musical Costumes From Halloweens PastOn Tuesday evening, Trey got the perfect Halloween payback, trolling the crowd by walking onstage dressed as the meme so many have had a pleasure messing around with his plastic bag of oranges in tow.
