Dominica National Basketball Team Arrives in St.Kitts

Hicks and Joseph were former teammates at the College of St. Rose in New York.Basketball City, St.Kitts (November 10, 2011):-The Dominica National Team along with their 7 feet 2 inch former NBA Center Garth Joseph arrived on Thursday evening at the RLB Airport from Dominica to be a part of the St.Kitts Amateur Basketball Association’s “Sugar Creole Basketball Festival” this weekend. The Dominicans will be engaging local teams including the St.Kitts team in a number of matches.The team was met at the airport by a number of SKABA officials including SKABA President Romel Tobias and Vice President Dr. Garfeild Alexander along with other officials. Also among the local greeting party was Ghetto Roots Center Kiethley Hicks who was a teammate of the 7 foot Joseph at the College of St. Rose in New York. The team will be hosted by the ECCB Staff Association and Dominican members of staff on Friday and will play Challengers Exodus in Challengers on Friday evening after the big Canada vs St.Kitts football match. On Saturday they will play SKABA Champions Ghaut Bucs at 8pm.Also om Saturday will be a big clash between the St.Kitts Team and the Nevis National team. Then on Sunday the Dominican Creole Boys will play the St.Kitts Team at 8pm at Basketball City. Halftime show on Sunday will feature performances by Masud Sadiki and freinds along with Jade Orchid and the Movado Modelling Agency. The Dominica team is scheduled to leave on Monday.
