Spring is quickly approaching and with it comes the dawn of another season of football. USC announced Monday that spring football practice will begin March 8, and the spring game will take place on April 16 at the Coliseum.There will be 14 practices in total leading up to the spring game, and all but one will be held at Howard Jones Field. The team will practice at the Coliseum on March 26.Practices, all of which are open to fans, are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. They will run every other day from early March until mid-April except for a one-week break during spring break.Tickets for the spring game cost $10. Attendance for last season’s game at the Coliseum was 22,788, which ranked 16th in the country and second in the Pac-12 behind Oregon, which drew 35,808 attendees.Sandwiched in between spring practices is USC’s pro day, which will be Mar. 23 at 10 a.m.The Trojans enter the 2016 season with a fresh slate in head coach Clay Helton’s first full season at the helm, a new quarterback and assistant coaching staff and a stockpile of talented recruits. Seven of those recruits, who are already registered for classes this spring semester, will be able to participate in the workouts.USC opens its season against defending national champion Alabama on Sept. 3.
